From Assessments to On-Site Personnel

We perform safety assessments, design programs and provide security personnel as needed. AFS security personnel are fully trained and certified, but we do not provide armed personnel. Our National Director of Security, Mike Caison, is responsible for all security assessments and programs at our client locations, and as a retired law enforcement professional, he brings several key capabilities to the team:

  • Threat assessment and mitigation at national, state and local levels
  • Design and leadership of security and law enforcement teams
  • Ability to work with local law enforcement to ensure viability of your program
  • Staffing models to match real campus needs
  • Trained and certified personnel

Background Checks

Along with the security of your campus, it is important that we always hire the best person for the job in terms of qualifications, team fit and background. We take nothing for granted.

1. Social Security verification through E-Verify

Using the federal government-developed E-Verify, we confirm work authorization through the Social Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.

2. Scan/Screener through RTI Research

Three national databases (NSOPR, OFAC, and Interpol) are searched for any criminal records This check includes county and state searches from 45 states, plus the District of Columbia’s criminal background databases. 

3. AFS Background Check

We do additional research to ensure that the applicant is the legal owner of his or her provided Social Security number. We also check previous residences, so that we can be certain of a clear record at those locations.

 AFS updates information through annual background checks on all current employees.
