What Are "Core" Services?

Every organization that operates a physical campus has certain basic basic requirements. Not only AFS, but also the Association of Physical Plant Administrators (APPA) recognizes these three areas as "core" to operations on a campus:

• Plant Operations and Maintenance Services keep buildings and systems running as designed.
• Custodial Services ensure that the buildings are clean and sanitary.
• Grounds and Landscape Services keep the exterior of the campus safe and attractive.

Of course, each of these services entails many nuances and variables, and different campuses include different specifics. AFS provides design, leadership and skill to maximize quality, productivity, efficiency and effectiveness, specific to your unique needs, in each of these "core" areas.
